Ever feel the adrenalin rush of watching the fastest cars in the world race by? And that's why the US Grand Prix Hospitality Committee has chosen Riverwatcher Studios as its website producer of choice for three consecutive years, a customized website and web-based administration tools for the big race.
The success of the Grand Prix depends upon the careful organization of hundreds of volunteers throughout Indianapolis. "We used to do all of this with Post-It notes," said Florence May, volunteer coordinator for the Grand Prix. "Two or three walls of our office were literally covered from top to bottom." But with the help of Riverwatcher Studios, the wall of notes was converted into an easily searchable electronic registration system, viewable from any computer station.
Even volunteers with little Internet experience can easily navigate the custom-website and choose jobs with printable schedules online. And we also create electronic waitlists for the most popular positions, automatically notifying volunteers of their status in queue.
Riverwatcher Studios also worked closely with Ad Ventures to also develop a registration management interface to easily allow them to track volunteers before and after the event. Search functions and reports that detail shift scheduling, unfilled jobs, and personnel skills are key in keeping the Grand Prix running efficiently. The clearly organized, universally accessible online management system will continually adapt to fulfill the changing needs of the Grand Prix as it races to new heights of popularity.
